Our Volunteers

We have been blessed over the years by individuals who felt a strong calling to translate these studies into their own language, in order to bless countless more readers. We are thankful to them for their long hours and dedication to seeing Yahweh glorified around the world.  The most recent language update was gifted from Freddy Vivier in South Africa for the Afrikaans. We welcome them to the Sheepfold and pray their walk in Yeshua will be full and satisfying as they read through the Torah portions in their native language. We pray they flourish as have those of the Espanol Sheepfold under the generous gifting of RosaMaria Anders. We thank them for their dedicated work!

A Peek Behind the Scenes

Working on a vineyard in Israel.

Working on a vineyard in Israel.

In the Pacific Northwest, the early spring mornings are crisp as I gather my Bible and a hot cup of rooibos tea to curl up by the fire to glean from among the well-worn pages of my Bible eagerly. Armed with markers, pencils, and notepads, I follow the intricate words of ancient Hebrew text from among the collection of cross-reference material stacked by my side to reveal the depth within. Contemplating scripture, hunting the verses each day weave the bigger picture in God’s/Elohim Word. Later, the familiar sound of the flip, flip, flip, and tap, tap, tap fills the room as the edits, and new revelations are added to the latest Parsha or responses are made to the many wonderful emails I receive from readers.

Sheepfold Gleanings was birthed in the year 2000 though a personal letter written to our children about the joy we found in our Bible about the roots of our Christian faith. That letter lengthened and was soon published in a Messianic magazine. Over the years, the letter continued to develop. We, like sheep, are called to stay close to the Shepherd and seek Him daily for the best pastures and choicest morsels of spiritual nourishment. Through the progressive revelation of studying His Word, the richness found among the verses built up over the years and have become living documents called Parshas (Torah portion). From the countless hours spent refining and editing each Torah portion, “the letter” grew into this larger edition - the one you see today.

A native of Vancouver, Canada, I love to walk the local mountain trails or rustic beaches of the Pacific Ocean. I also try to envision my garden will eventually look like something out of Sunset magazine. My husband Carl and I have been blessed with a few trips to Israel and feel a close connection to the Heartland. We also treasure any chance we get to spend time with our four amazing grandchildren. Sheepfold Gleanings, The Letter, is dedicated to our children and now our wonderful grandchildren. We dedicate it to them as a legacy and an inheritance to pass on to their generations.

May all who read the pages of these studies be enriched by the knowledge of how much Yeshua, The Shepherd, loves and cares for us beyond eternity.

Hosea 6:1-3  “Come, and let us return to the LORD/Yahweh; for He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; on the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight. Let us know, let us pursue the knowledge of the LORD/Yahweh. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, like the latter and former rain to the earth.”

We wish to thank all who have contributed and continue to support this project. We could not do it without your kind words of appreciation and encouragement. We treasure your beautiful cards and letters! As we go forward, we share this Scripture with you. May it uplift and inspire you as it does us!
